Hanne Appelqvist is Docent of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Helsinki and currently works as the Deputy Director of the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, an independent institute of the University of Helsinki. She has published a number of articles on Kant, Wittgenstein, and musical formalism, is the editor of Wittgenstein and the Limits of Language (Routledge 2020), and author of Wittgenstein and Aesthetics (CUP, 2023). Appelqvist also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Estetika: The European Journal of Aesthetics and as the Chair of the Nordic Wittgenstein Society.

ART (Aesthetics Research Torino) is a periodic philosophical seminar organized by the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Turin and the PhD Program FINO.
